Objectives for UV Cameras
The objectives from this series made of CaF 2 and fused silica are optimized for imaging in the deep UV at high aperture ratios. They show a very good UV transmission down to 190 nm and a sufficiently high resolution for imaging on scientific cameras and image intensifiers. The objectives are available with focal lengths of 64 mm, 100 mm and 150 mm. Datasheets with drawings of the lens barrel, additional application notes and data on the imaging quality (incl. MTF tables) are available on request.
To use the objectives directly with a camera system a focusing tube and a camera adapter are required which have to be ordered separately. The focusing tubes are specific for the individual focal length. The camera adapters are set between the focusing tube and the camera system and can be used for all UV objectives of this series.
Extension rings are available to expand the focusing range to shorter object distances. They have to be set between the focusing tube and the camera adapter. Some extension rings are already included with the focusing tubes and additional ones are only required for exceptional high magnifications.
Technical drawings of the focusing tubes, camera adapters and extension rings are available on request.

The lens materials are virtually free of absorption in the range 190-2200 nm. The left diagram shows the typical transmission for the UV camera objectives. The transmission is limited by the reflective losses on the uncoated surfaces. Antireflection coatings are available on request.
The imaging quality is optimized for the spectral range of 190-450 nm. The right diagram shows the typical variation of the back focal length (s’) referenced to the nominal focal length. To calculate the actual focal shift in length units the values must be multiplied by the nominal focal length of the regarded objective.

Focusing tubes
For the lens OUC 2.32 focusing tube MUC 2.32.01 is available and includes an extension ring (8 mm) for larger magnifications.
For the lens OUC 2.50 focusing tube MUC 2.51.01 is available and includes two extension rings (8 mm and 16 mm) for larger magnifications.
For the lens OUC 3.60 The matching focusing tube MUC 3.60.0 is delivered including an extension ring (8 mm) for larger magnifications. The tube allows focusing up to a maximal object distance of about 750 mm (ß'=-0,25). This objective is not suited for focusing to infinity (ß'=0).

Camera adapter
To attach the UV objective to available camera systems we offer a line of appropriate adapters which can be used for all our UV camera objectives. The adapters are plates between the focusing tube and the native interface of the camera.

To adapt the objectives for smaller object distances (i.e. for larger back focal lengths) we offer the following extension rings. The rings can me be mounted between the camera adapter and the focusing tube.
