Fabry-Perot Interferometer Plates

These plane plates are produced as mirror substrates for use in Fabry-Perot interferometers. The material is fused silica with a transmission range of 180 or 270 to 2600 nm. The expansion coefficient is 0.5*10^-6/K. The plates have a 30' wedge angle to eliminate back side reflections from the path of light. The cylindrical outer surfaces of the plates are polished. The table lists the departures from parallelism of the matched surfaces of the pairs of plates. The back surfaces are plane to λ/10.
